Using Your Bread Machine to Eat Healthier and Save Money at the Same Time

There's nothing like the smell and flavor of freshly baked bread. More and more people are making their own bread at home these days not only because it tastes better but also because making your own bread is much healthier than buying store-bought bread and it is also considerably less expensive to make your own bread versus buying it at the store. You can use your bread machine to eat healthier and save money at the same time.

When you buy a loaf of bread at the store it may be a few weeks old by the time you get it home and eat it. It has to go from the factory to a truck and then from the truck to a warehouse and it will sit on the store shelves until someone takes it home and eats it. Because a loaf of bread you buy from a store has to be able to last for weeks without getting stale or moldy, store-bought bread is full of preservatives that you really don't need to be putting into your body. If you read the ingredients and there is something you cannot pronounce its probably not good for you.

If you have your own bread machine at home you can also save quite a bit of money over the cost of buying bread at the store. In an article on the author broke down the price for the ingredients that they used in their favorite bread recipe and even included the cost of electricity for running their oven to cook the bread. The cost came out to about $1.50 per loaf and if you have purchased a loaf of bread in the store recently and you are aware that you could easily pay twice as much for a store-bought loaf.

Some people love making bread at home and others are intimidated by it but making your own bread is very easy if you use a bread machine. Many of the breadmakers on the market today have preprogrammed settings that allow you to simply add ingredients and push a button to make a delicious loaf of bread. Making your own bread costs less, is healthier, and it just tastes better. Store bought bread simply can't compete. hs some great deals on Bread Machines such as the
